Iran Narges

Experience: Iran is an award-winning designer, strategist, and educator with 25+ years of design industry experience in both private and public sectors. 

She is an experienced service design and research practitioner who brings deep experience, rigor, and holistic perspective to the design of complex end-to-end service experiences. Problem spaces she’s worked in include government, finance, travel, and healthcare, for organizations including Expedia Group, Capital One, Adaptive Path, and the City and County of San Francisco.

As a design leader, she has created and mentored service design and research teams; as an educator and facilitator she has taught everything from workshops to multi-day intensives to semester-long college classes.

Iran loves meeting new people and learning their stories. She brings this passion to her research practice as well as her work facilitating cross-functional teams. She draws on her traditional design background to make information tangible and bring insights to life.

As a volunteer artist and gardner, Iran helped bring the Athens Avalon Greenspace to life in her home neighborhood, San Francisco’s Excelsior District, and designed the adjacent tiled steps.

Education:  BFA from CCA (California College of the Arts); 2 years of undergrad at University of Chicago
