Lisa Hershey
Experience / education: Lisa has over 25 years of leadership in the nonprofit and public sectors. Lisa is a powerhouse in cultivating partnerships, political will and capital to advance solutions that address CA’s complex problems, including homelessness, obesity, and climate change. Prior to joining EQ, Lisa served as the Executive Director of Housing California, a statewide advocacy organization working on issues of housing and homelessness. During her time, the organization’s and partner’s advocacy led to $18.5 billion dollars in new funding for affordable development, a host of new programs and policies and launching of California’s Roadmap Home 2030. Lisa previously directed vanguard initiatives dedicated to fostering inclusive, healthy and prosperous communities at the Public Health Institute, the California Department of Public Health/Health Services.
Education: Lisa earned her Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University School of Public Health, her Bachelors of Arts from San Diego State University, and certification as a yoga teacher, peace ambassador and professional organizer.
Skills: Lisa excels in visioning and strategic planning, relationship and business cultivation, people-centered organizational change and growth; policy advocacy, multi-sector coalition development and management.
